My first class quiz…
I’m feeling kind of strange after giving my first quiz today. All the students thought that the quiz was fair, and some went quite well (i think, i haven’t marked it yet) but some didn’t go well.
I feel strange because I don’t want people to fail, but some students are definately not “competent”, therefore it doesn’t make sense to say that they are. The TAFE has a quality framework that it has to work within, and against which it is audited. But I feel bad giving a test that is going to judge someone as “not-yet-competent” - I guess it is something that I’ll get used to.
